Funtana is a fishing, agricultural and tourist town on the west coast of Istria, located in the area between tourist Vrsar and Poreč, whose coast stretches from the Green Lagoon in the west to Valkanela in the south. It is the most indented coast of the Istrian peninsula with numerous bays and islets. It has slightly more than a thousand inhabitants.
